Privacy and Cookie Policy

If you use the contact form on this site, it collects the name, email address, subject and message that you type into it. Nothing else is collected, and the form is the only place on this site where you are asked for personal information.

That information is used for one purpose only: to receive your message and reply to it. It is delivered to a personal mailbox by email through Mailgun, which acts as the mail provider. It is not stored in any database on this site, not used for marketing, not added to a mailing list, and not sold or shared with anyone else.

Submissions are retained in that mailbox for as long as needed to handle the correspondence. To have a message deleted, or to ask what is held, send a request through the contact form and it will be removed.

The form is protected by hCaptcha, which checks that submissions come from a person rather than an automated script. hCaptcha processes technical signals from your browser, including your IP address, for that check, under its own privacy policy and terms of service. This site does not keep its own log of IP addresses or user agents from form submissions.

The table below lists every third party this site involves, what each one does, and what reaches it about you. Loading a page in your browser sends your IP address and browser user-agent to any service in the "In your browser" rows, because that is how an HTTP request works. Services in the "On the server" rows never see your browser at all.

Runs in your browser

• Vercel hosts the site and serves it from its CDN, so it handles every request you make. It also provides the page analytics described in the next section.
• hCaptcha runs the anti-bot check on the contact form. It loads on the contact page only. It processes technical signals from your browser, including your IP address, under its own privacy policy.
• CookieYes displays and records the cookie consent banner.
• Elfsight provides the accessibility widget.

Runs on the server, never sees your browser

• Mailgun delivers contact-form messages. It only ever receives what you typed into the form, sent from this site's server. It does not see your IP address.
• The blog feed shown on the home page is fetched by this site's server from blog.nx1xlab.dev and passed on to you. Your browser never contacts the blog directly, so reading the headlines here reveals nothing to it.

Not used

This site runs no advertising, no cross-site trackers, no Google Analytics, no Meta or LinkedIn pixels, and no session-recording or heatmap tools. It does not build a profile of you, and it has no user accounts, so there is nothing to log in to and no account data to hold.

All fonts and icons are served from this site itself. No font or icon CDN is contacted, so loading a page reveals nothing to Google or any other font host.

Page analytics are provided by Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, so it cannot follow you between visits or across other websites.

For each page view it records the page address, the referring site if you arrived from a link, and coarse device and country information derived from the request. Visitors are counted using a value derived from request data that is discarded rather than stored, so there is no identifier that persists from one day to the next.

Because it is cookie-free and holds no persistent identifier, this measurement runs on every visit and there is no analytics toggle to switch off. If you would rather it did not run at all, a content blocker will stop it, and the site works normally without it.

This site keeps no database and writes no logs of its own. It does not record IP addresses or user agents from form submissions.

Vercel, as the host, records standard request information for its own operational and security purposes, under its privacy policy. Contact-form errors written to Vercel's function logs are retained for approximately one hour and are then discarded.

Contact-form messages themselves are kept in a personal mailbox for as long as the correspondence needs, as described above.
